  • Provided support to all technicians and shop personnel.
  • Develop/approve/write PQRs/WPSs
  • Certify and document (WPQs) welder performance qualifications.
  • Work with engineering from ExxonMobil, Shell, BP Texas City, Valero, ConocoPhillips, Enterprise Products, Trans Canada, and Lyondell and their subcontractors to assure compliance to code/project specific specifications.

Graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Welding Engineering. He is also an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and a Certified NDT Level II – Limited in Radiography Film Interpretation.
His industry experience has been primarily in the Oil & Gas Industry, but has also worked in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Fabrication, as well as R&D.
He has been heavily involved in QA/QC and has worked as a QA/QC Supervisor. He has been responsible for Welding Procedure Specifications & Procedure Qualifications (WPS/PQR), Welder Qualifications (WPQ), Welder continuity, tracking, training, and welding research development.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Strong knowledge of arc welding processes: SMAW,GTAW,GMAW,FCAW,PAW,SAW,ESW.
  • Experienced in interpretation of phase diagrams, problems with weldability of structural alloys,

His industry experience has been primarily in the Oil & Gas Industry.
He has been heavily involved in QA/QC and has worked as a QA/QC Director. He has been responsible for writing and implementing quality systems in order to acquire ASME stamps. Lee has extensive experience writing and qualifying Welding Procedure Specifications & Procedure Qualifications (WPS/PQR), Welder Qualifications (WPQ).
